"This life!"  It's a phrase that is now screen-printed across my brain, transmitting through my mouth, all too often lately.  I just can't help but laugh and mutter theses words when I am starring at where I am today.  Certainly, it is not where I thought I might be standing...my heart now reflects a new profile due to love and loss... yet, I know my DNA is still the same, that although situations have changed quickly this past year, I am still inherently me - "breathe" (another phrase I've had to whisper to myself more times than I'd like to recount).  

I'm not sure why I'm starting this blog...I know many people project their lives through pages like this (not sure how often others read them) and perhaps it holds some journalistic accountability. This past year I've been praying that God lend me a new element of personal empathy...to truly feel other's hurts; to be relevant to those around me.   It's almost the close of 2008 and I look back on this and several other requests I asked for and goals I set for myself - did I resolve any of the vacancies I saw in my life last Dec. 31st?  With only a month+ to go, we shall see!

In the future my posts won't be quite as ambiguous.  I want to share "this life's" hilarious moments (if anyone knows me well, I should've started writing a book along time ago just relaying the ridiculous comedic circumstances of my life), inquisitions, "big news" (not really sure what that means...maybe if something huge happens and I feel the need to burden my excitement all over the internet) and a temperature reading of my life.
